We keep the energy flowing to more than one million Kiwis across the North Island of Aotearoa, connecting the regions we serve to safe, reliable electricity and gas.
As the country’s largest dual-energy distributor by length, we own and operate 29,300km of electricity lines and 6,300km of gas pipes.
From urban and rural homes and businesses, to large-scale industrial operations, keeping our customers connected now and into the future drives everything we do.

Our projects
There’s a lot that goes into keeping the lights on and the gas flowing to our customers. Maintaining, upgrading and expanding our 29,200km of electricity network and 6,200km of gas pipes is not easy – but we’re up for the challenge. You’ll see our crews out and about in your neighbourhood, working on our networks to make sure they’re safe and reliable now and in the future. Behind the scenes, we invest in new technology and tools so we can work even more efficiently and make sure we invest in the right areas at the right time.
